I need to clarify.....I had some discussion with Steve Pellock about this because I guess I set off alarm bells when I posted my findings in my steering gear.
When I went into John Deere & asked for cornhead grease...the guy handed me this stuff-
John Deere AN11100 Multi-Luber
"For Use In Central Lubricating Systems"
Apparently the stuff Steve bought from JD actually says Cornhead Grease & it's in a tube...the Multi-Luber I was given is in a 1qt. bottle....Don't Use It!
Sorry for any confussion. I asked for Cornhead Grease & not being a Farmer, I just assumed that was in fact what they had given me.
The lesson here....Never assume!
