That car is done for. Not worth 10grand and probably not worth the money it would take to rebuild it.

The VIN tag on it is attached with special rivots. Removing that tag and putting it on a another car is illegal. There is no great debate about it. It is illegal. Putting the tag on a slant 6 Roadrunner (If one even exists) is fraud.

There are other areas of the car that will show partial vin # so if the car was REBUILT it would show then. You would also see welds and panels patched in. This right away would tell you its not an ORIGINAL car. That is has been repaired and pieced back together. Probably hurt value some over an original car.

Rivoting on the vin to the /6 car would scream fraud right away because the partial #'s in other areas would show its not the real car. Along with structural differences and mechanical differences of a Hemi car verse's a /6 car. No signs of welding or new parts or pieces attached.

It doesnt appear the original Hemi and transmission is there so that hurts the value as well.

If you wanted to get this car back on the road legally you would have to build that piece in your picture back up to a car. Back halfing a parts car to it, roof, etc.

Part of your battle is taken care of as it has the radiator support or it appears in the picture it does which would have part of your VIN # to it telling someone the front half of the car is still original.

Like I said in my first line that car is done for. Not worth the time or $ it would take to get it back on the street. You would be better off to by the /6 Roadrunner and build a Hemi clone with it.

That car in excellent condition would bring out the best of the best as far as buyers and they would smell rat within minutes of seeing the car if you did what you say you would do.

--------------------------

So let me ask you this since its ok to move VIN tags from one vehicle to another would it be ok for me to show up at the Rally with a title and Serial# tag in my pocket and when no one is looking open the door of my favorite Power Wagon and swap its Serial # for the one in my pocket. Would that now make it my truck and year?

No big long speach on this one, a simple YES or NO is all thats needed to answer this one.

Todd
