hi david , yes the spiral haeads are about a grand. the 5k$ i was looking to spend is for a regular powermatic. i like the idea of being able to index the carbide cutter to a new edge instead of changing out blades.just wasn't sure if they leave the finnish i am looking for on figured wood.don't want to spend a ton of $ and not be happy. thanks ,jim.
