The 237 thru 251 is shorter stroke than the 230 so should wind up better. Remember you will have the radiador clearance issues with the longer blocks. Balance everything and do the other things you mentioned and it will feel like a whole different machine. Us a reputable balancer whose marigin of error is +/- 0 grams. If a balancer tells you they have a margin of error exceeding 0, call a different one. I have driven 251s and one 265 and the power difference even without improvements was quite noticable over the 230 on the highway.
