Ron. Is your winch driven by a pto on the transmission or on the transfer case? My F350 and my W300 have winches driven by a pto on the transfer case. I have to put the transfer case in neutral and use the transmission to drive the winch. This is where the 4 wheel Mico Brake Lock is necessary to hold the truck. I believe your brake on the driveshaft will not hold the truck. If your winch is driven by the pto on the transmission, then the transmission must be in neutral and you use the pto to power the winch, forward or reverse. Then the brake on the driveshaft, whether behind the transmission or behiind the transfer case, will be of use. JH
