Has anyone out there in PW land put a Cummins 4bt in a Dodge 6X6? I am in the process of making up motor mounts and deciding where the engine should sit. Would welcome input from anyone who has already done it. Because it is a 6X6 I will be using the divorced transfer case which changes things a little from Paul's set up with the married transfer case.
Will a good electric fan keep a Cummins cool? Discarding the engine driven fan will give us more room to play with.
The good news was the 6X6 must have heavier front springs than the civilian PW 'cause when we let the weight of the engine down on the chassis it hardly moved. At least I won't have to get stronger front springs ala what Paul had to do.
