I sold a thing once to a guy with -1 feedback. I was nervous about it, but he was the high bidder and I hadn't put anyting in the description about not selling to people with negative feedback, so I couldn't in good faith refuse to sell to him. His one feedback sounded like it plausibly wasn't his fault. I emailed him and told him I was concerned about his feedback and if he didn't pay by the deadline, I'd immediately file a non-paying bidder complaint, but if the transaction went smoothly, I'd be sure to leave positive feedback. He communicated well in email (promptly and clearly), paid quickly, and all went well. If I was you, I'd try emailing or talking with him on the phone a few times. If he'll communicate, and he pays up front, I'd take the chance on him. All the ebay problems I've had, both as buyer and seller, happened with people who wouldn't communicate. Either they completely blew me off, or their writing was incomprehensible, or they ignored the issues.
