I was wrong about the mounting side of the pto I need. It needs to mount on the driver's side, as dc pointed out. There is a crossmember directly in front of the pto outlet that would require the output shaft to be fairly low in order to clear the crossmember. I've heard the correct pto for a W500 is designed to clear the crossmember. Do you know what make and model the pto is? JH
