From the looks of the greenery, it's west of the mountains in Washington or Oregon. The grass hasn't started growing like that east of the mountains yet. Rust never sleeps, but west of the mountains rust is up all night on meth. I've sure seen a lot rustier rigs than that one. A certain M37 offered for sale near Hoquiam a few years ago comes to mind.

Maybe the guy led you to believe the body was rust-free, I don't know. It can certainly "run like a top" and still be rusty.

It looks like a pretty straight truck to me. The fenders haven't tried to uproot any trees, the glass is intact, nobody pulled a gin pole / A-frame back onto the cab, the frame isn't bent, it has all the lights and emblems, and it even has a real decent looking bed and a winch.

Depending on what he wants for it, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I notice you're not saying where it is, who's selling it, or what he wants for it, which makes me think you just might still be considering it.
