First check the ground from the battery to the left fender. Then the ground to the bolt on transmission bellhousing, just below the throttlebody inlet tube. Next check the positive cable into the integrated power module(the fuse box under the hood). Check/wiggle anything in the fuse box labled ASD (auto shut down) relay fuse etc. Lastly look for the engine controller (drivers side)Approx9"x6" box with four harnesses that plug into it. With the key off unlock each connectors red locking tab by sliding it away from the module. Then press the black tab to pull each connector out of the module. Sometimes just unpluging and pluging the module will take care of a connection that wasn't perfect. Your vehicles problem sounds like a bad connection some where, fuel pump safety shut off would only happen if the air bag module sensed an event & air bags would have deployed. Good luck.
