Laminated glass is getting hard to find-

At least in the junk yards. I had to go to two of them before I found a box van that still had them. Everything is either curved or tempered. Detroit must have gone to tempered about 1960? All the motorhomes were missing too- those junkyards are only a mile form Tijuana, I'm not the only Mexicaneer with a glass cutter.

Anyhow, $10 for enough glass to re-create my vent wings. About 45 minutes each, with a glass cutter, razor knife, and a carbide tool grinder with diamond wheel.

And, I plan on using a tube of goo for sticking the glass in. Special Urethane/ moisture-in-the-air setting stuff, about $10 for a caulking tube of it.

But while I was in the junk yard, somebody walked by with an electric window mechanism- it used cables. Hmm, anybody know what it was from? Possible components for a HD wiper system?
