I don't know about the PT cruiser specifically, but I do know some cars have a impact sensor that will cut the power to the vehicle if it's in an accident. I'm not sure where it is on this vehicle, but on others it is above the drivers feet set to the left in the body.
I believe there is a reset button on it...
