I have been using old original and NAPA replacement fuel pumps since 1980. I have never had diaphram fail. I have been running ethenol blend since it came out along with leaded gasoline, unleaded gasoline, lead additive enhanced gasoline, lead substitute enhanced gasoline, watered down swill, and even old premix from the chainsaw. ;^)
