One thing I never understand is why people complain about E-bay prices on a high interest auction. If you are not happy paying that much for a part, then don't bid.
If there was no chance of getting good prices people would not list items on E-bay, and there would be fewer parts to buy.
Due to E-bay some parts now demand a higher value, and others now bring less. As more people have been able to share their items with the world, some items that were thought to be rare have become common, and others have shown themselves to be more rare then was thought.
High quailty hard to find parts will always be in demand, and will most likely only increase in value for many years to come.
If anyone wants to complain about an auction like Marty's, please E-mail the bidders and tell them you think they overpaid. The price is a fuction of how much they valued the part, not Marty.
By the way, I seem to remember VPW getting $500 or so out of a set like this a few years ago, so I don't think this is a one time price.
