Used 89-93 behind the Cummins. May have been used in some gas'ers but I am not aware of which or any.
In my opinion, and the opinion of many on other forums, it was a trouble prone tranny, very expensive to repair. Many have used the Advanced Adapters Kit to swap out the Getrag with a NV-4500. In some cases extra life was gained by overfilling by 1 quart with transmission oil.
Check Advanced Adapters to see if they have a Chevy conversion to allow use of a Getrag...but I doubt it as most people try to get away from the Getrag.
My suggestion is to totally forget the Getrag.
