tires are only chambers to hold air - the pressurized chamber does all the work - the stronger the rating of the chamber ie load ranges c d e f (or the old ply 6 8 10 12) the
higher air pressure it can hold.
under inflation is the destroyer - easy standard test inflate tires (when cold) drive for at least 10 miles & check pressure - if the pressure has risen above 10% ie 40 up to 45 thru heat build up then the starting pressure was too low. if the starting pressure was the max allowed (molded into the
sidewall) then the load is too much for the
tires.
this is all very very basic and is completely
covered in all michelin truck tire data books
would like to read the story & get the whole
picture.
