Now this is just my opinion, but from what you are saying, you'll be wrecking something. Until ya get the money to do BOTH axels, you could always just remove the drive shaft to the front, and maybe even get a set of hub locks for the front.
I understand wanting the 4:89's so you can get up to a decent road speed, but what your planing seems UNSAFE to me, and also messes up a good thing. Don't do something you'll regret later.
