That is a shame. We have perfect bed sides. I think we need perfect tailgates and fenders to go with them. I have seen three original tailgates that I would consider mint. Not one of the owners of them were contacted for measurements when the reproductions tailgates were in the planning stages. I was contacted, but I could provide only limited dimensions at the time. I didn't have anything nice enough to provide exact details. I heard that the bulk of the measurements were taken from a WWII 1/2-ton dodge tailagte and then stretched to fit.
