If memory serves you live in Northern Cal. Cal. DMV will supply that info only after you satisfy their requirements. I.E. why you want to know , the fee, which I believe has climbed to $15.00 and then only after they receive permission from the other party to release the info. This is thanks in great part to the anti-stalking laws enacted after a murder was committed based partly on info provided by the DMV. If the other party hit your vehicle then you are entitled to their info. If you just want to chat them up about something you will just be out the $15.00 .
