I personally know the man who designed, built, tested, and marketed the All-Trac Automatic Positive-Locking Differential. It was developed solely for the WDX-WM300 Power-Wagon and the military WC-M37 variants, by a Power-Wagon enthusiast. It is 100 percent lockup in operation, with no clutches. The way he described it to me was that he engineered a similar concept and design as the Detroit Locker into the All-Trac because Detroits were no longer available for our trucks. He took it one step further and used as many existing components as possible from the stock 4-pinion Power-Wagon differential. I really do not know how the new Lock Right compares to the original All-Trac since he sold the rights. I hope that the new product has stayed true to the original. I do know that I have been using an All-Trac in my WDX since 1989 with no problems whatsoever, and I installed it myself (something I would have a hard time trusting someone else to do.

I found the above article very informative, as I have never owned either a Detroit product or an ARB product. At first I thought the article was biased towards the Detroit until I read the whole article. In the end, in his article it sounds like he is leaning more towards the ARB as being the way for most people to go. I have to agree with one point his article made – correct installation makes all the difference. I just wish he had also compared the Lock-Right, but alas apparently he is not a Power-Wagon enthusiast. Just like all of the fuss between Chevy and Ford. Dodge gets ignored. But we know we are the best, the rest can fight between themselves.
