Personal, need some prayer

I feel like I only use you guys when I need you, but for over a year I have been having bad neck/shoulder pain, recently getting much worse. the only thing that was giving me relieve was a lortab or 2 at night. I had an mri in october which showed nothing severe wrong to explain the pain. My primary care doctor (who I have had for about ten years) was relentless in finding me a specelist to find out what was wrong. I finally had a ct mylargram (a ct scan with die in the spinal fluid to show nerve) The test came back with severe arthritis in the spinal column(betwenn c6 and c1) which is pinching the nerve. trouble is two different surgeons have said not much could be gained by surgery to open up the canal, as well as it appears to be degenerating fast. I am only 40 years old and can't seem to understand how I will be relagated to a regime of pain killers for the rest of my life. I am now up to 4-6 a day of lortab (hydrocodone) and my doctor wants to switch me to oxycontin as it is a more steady dose time release type of drug. All this and we are expecting our 5th baby in June(we are adopting a baby from korea)Has any one else had this condition . I really feel you guys are as close to me as my church when it comes to this stuff
