Hi Roger,
I used to have one of those that I bought in the 70s. They work great. There is supposedly some sort of valve so you are putting clean air into the tire, not air with vaporised gasoline!
Anyone hear "Car Talk" last week? Their puzzler involved one of those pumps. Since I used to have one I knew the answer right away!
