1954 Dodge M37 ¾ Ton Military Cargo Truck with PTO Winch $5,500 [UT]
Very complete truck, unrestored, but unaltered… Original waterproof 24-volt electrical system, T245 engine, data plates, pioneer rack, rotating pintail hook, troop seats, rear top bows and brackets. Runs, stops, horn even works.
Sheet metal is very straight and dent free, some surface rust, but no pitting, rot, or rust through. Even the floor behind the seats, door bottoms, and bottom of the battery box are solid. Windshield glass good, door glass is good, windows roll up and down fine. Doors close easily, latches and locks work great. Tailgate in great shape, as is bed floor and sides. Easy restoration, or tune it up and drive it as is.
Comes with clean Utah title and copy of original factory build card from Chrysler. Comes with spare wheel and tire, but the spare tire is flat. Tires currently on truck are weather checked and worn, but are fine for moving around the yard and loading on a trailer. The truck is not registered and while it does run the muffler is holed and the idle is ruff… it needs to be trailered to its new home.
Winch is complete with cable, bumpers, and brackets to mount it. PTO unit and drive shaft not included, but these parts are readily available from a couple different vendors. Troop seat and cargo top cover hardware included, but the wood is pretty far-gone and will need to be replaced. I don’t have the top bows for the cab itself, but again, vendors do carry these and they come up on eBay too.
Buyer arranges transportation. I may be able to trailer it to locations in the western US for cost of fuel/lodging, but please contact me about that option.
