Here's what I found out. Pricing is based on a 10-car carrier truck and trailer (thinking we could fit 7 Power Wagons).I gave them a picture and rough dimensions.
$4550 one way New Jersey / Iowa
$2500 stand by time (this is the cost for the truck to sit and wait to return; there is not enough time to book other freight)
$4550 one way Iowa / New Jersey

$11,600 divided by 7 trucks = $1657
This is the first quote I have gotten back.
It's from a reputable transport co. with all the insurances and such.
June is the busiest month ( according to them) good weather etc. so the price reflects this.
