the pully is pressed on and like norm said you need a puller.my trk has oversize tires that the pump didn't like.snaped the shaft inside the pump.when i got the new pump their was a [cheap]tool that came with the pump, to install the pully..MAKE SURE you bolt the pump to the bracket BEFORE you install the pully I forgot to.had to pull pully put bolts in reinstall pully.Also witch what kind of puller you use,or you will bend the outer edges of the pully.
