I have a miltary shovel like the one you have, I will check to see who made it tomorrow. Here is the WOW part, the reason I got it was all the other shovels in the pile that were on M151 jeeps were the standard metal handle shovels, but this one just stuck out, because the handle was split wood and not metal. This was in the late 1980s. BUT, I have found unissued WWII gear still in Marine warehouses up into the 90s.
