I checked my email and there was a email from what looked like ebay saying hurry and bid on your wacthed item before it ends and gets away.

Well if you click on the link it wanted you to sign in so you could bid. Problem was I was not wacthing any 1973 Ford truck to start with, so I knew it was B.S.

Then I got another one saying good news your wacth item has been relisted go bid now and don't let it get away agian. Problems was I was not watching any fishing boats on my wacth list.

I think that there have always been scamers and dishonest people out there, it just seems to have gotten a little worse lately. So you must watch your back more. Does not stop me from wanting to buy or sell on ebay any less.

I do quiet a bit of buying and selling on ebay and have only had one problem. It was my fault for not being more carefull anyway. The old one where someone has duplicated your auction. The person that told me that was not even the one that really sent it they had been highjacked as well.

Even if they highjack your account they can't really do much to you money wise. Since you cant even see you full bank or cerdit card info, only ebay can. All you can see in your account info is xxxxxxxxxx and the last four digits. So all they can do is piss you off some and maybe sell something with your account, or buy something. But in my case once I let ebay know about the B.S. that was happening they refunded my my listing fees of the auction that was started, And helped me take care of the football tickets that I was/was not bidding on.

They also told me to change my pass word a few times over the next few days, and make sure that it was not close or the same as paypal. I will keep doing business on eaby just wacth what you do. Everthing I have bought or sold has worked out fine, and I plan to keep buying and selling, just keep a eye on things. If it smells like SH!* then it most times it is SH!*.

I used to get a lot of second chance offers on things I was bidding on, but since ebay has taken care of that problem with hidding the bidders id's, I no longer get them. It has helped my second chance offers that I send to sellers when I have two or more of the same thing, it seems now they tend to buy them more. I have faith that ebay will take care of these new scams as well soon. I was on the phone with them the other day for a while, I think it will get better soon. They are working on it and now that sales are suffing because of it, will only increase if it keeps up. So just use your head.
