Real Jerry cans seem to have gotten mighty scarce all of a sudden. Most of the surplus dealers don't have them anymore, and I don't even find the "civilian" copies in stores very much. When I do see them, they're incredibly expensive. Apparently, traditional Jerry cans don't meet safety or smog regs any more, because now they sell "CARB compliant" ones. I've gotten most of my Jerry cans for next to nothing from yard sales, but most of the time either the lining is peeling off of they have a bunch of gunk in them because they were used for dirty motor oil or water or something. I think now's the time to pick up real Jerry cans when you can find them. Also the large "donkey dick" spouts seem to be impossible to find new any more.
