thanks for the info. i was stuck in the mode of thinking that i had to have the fan mounted in the traditional spot behind the radiator, but it seems like i might have alot more room up front.
at this point, its either put the fan up front or try to find the short water pump, and i'm not sure if that will even bolt up to my timing cover or not....
