I just thought I'd throw in that some of the "Carb Dip" may attack aluminum alloys. I've had bad luck with stuff called "Chem Dip", and it also has a nasty smell that really lingers. I prefer to use pain thinner when I need to degrease something, and for water-soluable degreaser I've found Castrol's Purple stuff works good.
