Former Oregon (the dry side) truck, now in San Diego area. PROJECT
VEHICLE!!! Yes, I got it to run, it has the standard 318, a non-step side
bed (from which you can get a nice view of my grease stained driveway.)
The tailgate is missing.

Of course it has rust...BUT...the hood, doors, grille, fenders and bed
front and sides are all good to excellent. I pulled the X-fer case
because the previous owner had reported a problem. As far as I can tell the problem
was the he drove over something to bend the shift linkage (transfer case control shift rod for all you aficionados) enough to
impair proper engagement of the transfer case to the front differential.

I pulled it off and discovered the front de-clutch rod was simply not
engaged! I pushed it in...and presto...instant transfer case!
(by the way, if you EVER do this...be smart and use a tranny jack!)

The drive shafts are off and bead blasted and now being powdercoated.

I bought all six HEAVY DUTY replacement U-joints (NAPA) and BRAND NEW WARN
hubs for the front. The truck is basically a survivor. It has NO winch
and of course no PTO. The glass is good. I pulled the front drums because the
left front wheel was locked (corroded shoe retainer springs) and will rebuild them
so it will at least roll...(and stop...which is nice).

The motor runs...roughly, but hell, it's 37 years old!
The "muffler" is a candidate for the museum of art, because it sure isn't going to muffle anything!

The drivers floor pan is "see through" in spots and the passenger side is not much better, but it IS
better. The doors fit well and open and close tightly as do the side windows.

This is a great truck for someone with the time and a very few $$$ to
get back on the road.

No, I won't part it out (yet). If you want it bring $1400.00 and a flatbed or a
tow rig.
