I just had 4 9.00x16 NDT's on combat rims balanced. Most of them took a few weights, but they balanced. I took it to the local Les Schwab store which does everything from wheelbarrow tires to Semi's.

When I first got my 41 on the road with the stock rims, the frontend shimmied violently at 35 mph. One of the front rims was bent and required weights half way around the rim to balance, and still wasn't perfect.

Something I noticed on the combat rims I bought. 3 of them had welded weights on the inside of the rim to account for the metal cutout for the valve stem, and 1 did not. I made a crude balancer on a lathe so I could hang the wheel from a wire to see if it hung level. The wheel without the weight was not level, so I welded on a weight.

I don't know why this rim didn't have a weight, maybe there are versions of combat rims that were balanced differently?
