OH NO bro, your wrong on that. 3 valve body's in the trans in under 20K, 1st set of ball joints replaced at 10K, 2nd at 17K and 3rd at 21K. However, this is on my 01 D. My 99 D was much better, and only had the BJ's changed at 11K, but then again, I murdered that D at 13K, so I don't know how it woulda lasted. 8>(

Then there are other things that were stopped AFTER dainler took over, like no paint in the engine compartment, no pads or lights under the hoods. The list goes on and on.

Around here, Dodge was ALWAYS known as a good, strong truck. Mechanically great, and simple. The body's however, didn't last. I remember the sliding side doors on vans, always coming off track and runner ALWAYS needing to be replaced.

I don't know about that GM starter thing, as nowadays, ALL vehicles sound like the older MoPars when they crank, which used to be a distinctively MoPar sound.
