thanks, Jonas. Rebuild happened before i got truck. Motor ran before I began to tear truck apart 5 yrs ago --- I had drained oil and have periodically turned engine over by hand so it's still free. At a minimum i plan to pull pan and see about sludge.
Spent some hours last nite reading excellent info. in the archives about how to start an engine that hasn't run for a long time and plan to follow advice.
With a little luck this yr.perhaps I can get motor back in frame where it belongs!
