3 inches sounds about normal for that set up. The real question is how far do you have to push it to actually hold the vehicle from rolling? Say on a hill? GMs are always a little mushy out of the box but should stop jsut fine without much foot pressure or pedal travel. I can make any vacuum power assisted brake pedal go down 3 plus inches while sitting their in the driveway. maybe drive it a bit and see how it performs?
