Heater Ques

I need to find a heater for our '49 FFPW. It was converted to 12v. It seems from searching the archives, that the model 75 was 12v, and the model 65 was 6v and would need a resistor. If the motor is shot, NAPA has one. Do I have my facts right before I start my search?
