Dodge boys.... Get a German or too for me. I got to attend three different years and had a blast. First year was a Blast, so much so the organizers dumped us in on foot the following year about 2 miles off the post and we had to walk in and every time we got close to something, they would send us in the opposite direction. didn't see my guys until the end. Next year had a break down in the field and got over ran, finally got the truck running and actually sneaked up behind the Germans and were about to let them have it in the rear when a ref jumped out from behind a tree and said that it wasn't in the scripted battle plan and wouldn't let us get'em. Rats!!!! the next year the buddy I always went with got transfered to FT Drum NY so that ended that. I haven't kept up with all the local politics. Unfortunately I can't be a ground pounder anymore, and Even If I took something back, no guarantee the would allow it as they were being really picky on MV's especially jeeps. Also you have to have a good impression and a WWII uniform and gear to particpate. A little late this year, Jeff, but I could see what I could do to get you attached to a unit from back there. For some crazy reason they don't seem to like "outsiders" and they definately have their favorites. Great photo ops, wish we could take off the license plates as they look sort of funny in a photograph that looks like it was 1944. Dodge content....met Russ from WY on one of our trips when we lost a wheel off the car trailer...He helped rescue us...Found out both of us knew John EichofF.. Anyway have fun.
