16.5" tires on 16" wheels?

I am thinking about buying a set of Good Year Wrangler R/T tires. They are Hummer take offs. I have heard from someone that they will work on a 16" wheel. Does anyone here have any experience using these on a 16" standard Power Wagon wheel, or ever seen it done?
