I ship things Via Greyhound all the time, and they will take anything without sharp edges.
What I do is wrap the item tight in cardboard, label it well and send it on its way. So far nothing has gotten damaged.
A pair of M-37 fenders should ship anywhere in the country for $75 or so via Greyhound.
