garage floor mats

Does anyone have experience, good or bad, with large plastic/rubber mats that can be purchased on which a FF or car can be parked? The ones I've seen pictured have a lip around edge to contain spills or most esp., in N. states, snow/ice melt from wheel wells, etc.
