Go onto eastwood.com and buy yourself a tool called a welder's helper. Its a little copper spatula looking device with a handle. You hold this copper paddle behind the hole to support the weld, then slowly and on a low setting weld the hole shut. Once done grind flat. Done right and you will need little if any bondo to skim coat. As was said just filling the hole with filler will not last, and you'll more than likely be visiting this hole again in short order. Wleding holes up is the best way to fix them.
