I bought some Red Wings last summer. They were still made in the USA. I think I remember something about them importing the cheaper ones from China but still making the better lines here. Might be worth asking about. And keep them doped up with Obernauf's boot grease. It really is the best stuff for not just waterproofing but making the boots last longer. I even use it on chapped lips and dry hands.
If you want full size logger's boots, Hoffman's in Kellogg Idaho still makes them right there in Kellogg, and I hear tell they're top quality.
