Front Axle questions

1. Does the steering knuckle need to be removed to change out the inner axle seal and bronze bushing?

2. How much slack/tolerance should the bronze bushing have with the axle? Mine have very little slack and I'm debating whether to change them.

3. Should there be a gasket between the spindle flange and the steering knuckle housing? Mine did not have gaskets but I would think there should be one.
