A friend of mine here in Kansas drove down to Waco to get a 04 Cummins truck. 45000 miles and it was much cheaper there then anything around this area. So many people down there and so much commuting and so many dealerships everyone trades and gets good deals it can be worth the drive. Good thing is Texas usually doesnt have bad winters so you dont have to worry about rust around the DFW area.
I have family that lives in Dallas and the commute is very hard on vehicles. Most are wasted in 6-8 years of driving. They have the piss ran out of them and beat to crap from the roads there.
