When drove from Seattle to Wallace ID monday it looked like practically a convoy of bucket trucks, utility trucks, and generators heading westbound. I didn't recongnize the logos on the utility trucks. They definitely weren't Avista (Washington Water Power). They might have from some Montana utility or more likely were gypsy crews. Apparently PSE (Puget Power), which was the hardest hit since they serve more of the outlying areas, doesn't even have their own line crews any more. Judging from all the flatbeds with 50-100kW gensets on them, and that being 4 days after the storm, a lot of businesses and/or government agencies were willing to spend some real money in case they don't get their utility power back on soon.
