I have used heat and candle wax to loosen and remove many bolts/nuts that would not move otherwise.

Heat the item but not enough to change color, then hold a candle on the heated surface. Let the wax wick into the threads. Let it totally cool and repeat. Do this a few times and the wax will really wick into the threaded joint.
Then carefully unscrew. If the item gets to hot the wax will just burn away, this is not wanted. You want it hot but just hot enough to melt the wax and have it wick in.

Some of the other guys here on the fourm have used this trick with great results.
