We are still without power and will be for 5 more days if history repeats. Not good since the young grandchildren show up today for Christmas.
No real damage to the house except my new gutters are smashed. Somehow they did not like all the branches hitting them. Lots of large douglas fir branches all over the property. Only 1 tree down on our property of course it took out the power, phone and cable wires. The neiborhood is a mess. Apparently the intersection at the entrance to my place has been all over TV news. Couple of trees came down and about 10 major power poles were snapped off. It just was like someone played dominoes with them. It goes for 1/2 mile of poles and wires on the ground. It has been almost 4 days and no repair crews have been seen. There are trees down all over the neiborhood. They are across the road and on houses and on the power lines.
I am glad I did not have my camper at home when the storm hit. It would have been significantly damaged by tree limbs. I picked it up from the shop Saturday and it is nice and warm and we are using the generator to keep the refigerator and freezer cold. The house is somewhat warm as we have a wood stove that heats up the basement.
