Bill's post below has the reference you need for general assessment. I recently finished an 8 year (part time) restoration of a 1958 16' Airstream Bubble, and would like to tell you to be very honest with yourself about taking on such a huge project. I have put over $6k into my little trailer project, mostly for all the new appliances, and for a small Airstream it is money well spent since these trailers are quite popular and desireable.
I agree with the advice that you might take it off their hands for free. My trailer was given to me originally, so the $6k isn't so bad until I figure how many thousands of hours I spent working on the restoration. Unless it is a labor of love that you intend to keep and use, it may not be worth all the money and effort to get it in good shape.
Good luck in any case.
