Check this out. A 3/4 ton 4x4 club cab/quad cab with a CTD has a max trailer weight of 11400 lbs.

I think a 3/4 ton is more then enough to tow heavy trailers.

My W350 1993 Club cab CTD truck and 40 foot goose neck trailer with me in it and 6 chains and binders and about twenty straps and a full tool box ect.... and a tank of fuel. Weighted in at 11500 lbs. So I could in theory park my truck and trailer in the bed or behind the 3/4 ton club cab/quad cab and only be over the max trailer weight by 100 lbs.

Keep in mind that these are numbers from the 1999 dodge book. Matt
