Drive Shaft Cost

just got off the phone with Tom Wood's again. my two options are to send him my transfer case yokes and have them replace them with something that will work with their drive shafts, or send him the splined ends of my current drive shafts and have him make the other end to match my axles and tranny. the first option (all new components) should cost about $650, since i'm getting new yokes for my transfer case. the second option should cost about $520. so for only $130 more, i get new splined ends of the drive shaft and new input and output yokes for my transfer case (plus they'll be able to balance the shafts, which they can't do with my splined ends).

so does that sound like a pretty good deal?

next question:

to get the transfer case shafts out, do i have to remove the shaft housing from the transfer case and remove the retainer nut and that's it? or am i missing something and i'm gonna have to tear the whole thing apart?

thanks again...
derek
